Highschool reflection:

When I first got to Excel I was really nervous because it was my first time going into highschool and I had no idea how it was going to be. I was on my own, I felt like I had to start all over again making friends, and get along with everyone because they were all new to me. After the first day I felt a little bit better because I had made some friends and met all the new teachers. We didn't really have class it was more of like a day where all students get to meet each other. The only thing I was scared of now is how class was going to go and how was I going to do my first year. I was full of fear to fail a class. Overall my first year wasn't how I expected, it was fun and I ended up passing all my classes the year wasn't so hard after all. The first two years I really wasn't doing that well I would have a very low GPA I would barely pass my classes surprisingly. When I got to junior year was when I was starting to do very well. I was very focused in class I was very determined to have very good grades and get a higher GPA than what I had in my freshman and sophomore year. Somethings that really helped me be on top of all my work was stay after school when I had trouble in a class or on class work that I didn't get or be missing. I would say junior year and senior year have been the easiest years I've had through my high school years. I would say I'm much more happy with my GPA now then when I was in freshman year. Junior year was one of my funnest years because I was not only doing good in school I also made a lot of friends who made my highschool year very exciting and enjoyable. Without my friends I wouldn't have had one of the greatest years and I also would have learned a lot of things. I also started joining more school activities which was what made high school feel like high school. One of my favorite teachers junior year was Ms.Benefield because she would always check on me if I needed support in her class and she would also encourage me to stay after school to get my grade up. My favorite staff was Coach Lewis because he was an amazing coach and a very motivated person he really made this year fun too. Something I am most proud of is getting my things together and staying determined to do good in school no matter how hard it is I’m glad that all this hard work has paid off and I'm graduating on time. My advice to freshman is be on top of your work don’t slack not even on one assignment or class because that will mess you up later in high school. Also join more school activities trust me it will make your high school experience way better. I think the idea of strive for college is a good idea because it motivates students to go to college and be proud of the accomplishments that they have done throughout their high school years.
